A New and Improved Quote Request Process

It’s now easier than ever for R&D, procurement and operations teams to request quotes from suppliers for products on Knowde. By streamlining the request for quote (RFQ) process, Knowde is helping innovators get information they need faster, taking friction out of the buying process and ultimately helping companies get products to market sooner.

The RFQ is one of the most important early steps in the transactional journey, often marking the beginning of a commercial relationship between buyers and sellers. Knowde listened to customer feedback, and updated the RFQ process with a brand new design and easy-to-follow steps.

In just a few clicks, you can now request a quote for any product of interest on Knowde.

Unnecessary fields (details that come later in a negotiation) that added friction for customers have been removed, while a few important fields (such as a customer’s “Market”) were added, to help chemical suppliers more effectively route and draft quotes.

What’s next for RFQs on Knowde?

Looking forward, we plan to improve the RFQ process further by adding enhancements such as a more simplified address entry. We are constantly brainstorming new ideas and would love to hear your feedback after you’ve tested out this new process!
